Astena House formulates scent for what happens after dark. When the lights fall low, inhibitions follow and the room begins to misbehave

Each dose is hand-poured, highly concentrated and prescribed for its intended effect. Expect altered moods and a distinct reluctance to leave

The House Philosophy

Scent reaches the body before the mind can intervene. It provokes memory and creates attraction without permission

The right formula does not simply fragrance a room. It changes what happens inside it

Every Astena formulation is classified by three elements:

  • The Dose: A numbered prescription formulated to induce a particular state
  • The Potency: A high concentration of fragrance oil, poured into heavy ceramic and designed to linger on skin, fabric and memory
  • The Compound: Intoxicating blends of smoked woods, animalic leathers, dark spices, warm resins and narcotic florals

Prescription

Follow the prescribed ritual for complete atmospheric saturation:

  • First Dose: Burn for 2 to 3 hours, or until the melted wax reaches the edges of the vessel. This sets the wax memory and prevents tunnelling
  • Flame Control: Trim the wick to 5 mm before every ignition for a slower, cleaner and more controlled burn
  • Maximum Exposure: Do not exceed four hours of continuous use. Overindulgence may compromise the formula
  • Aftercare: Store away from direct heat and sunlight to preserve fragrance potency. Once depleted, clean and reuse the ceramic vessel for whatever you keep after dark
